Cafe Taste

Instead of screening the whole movie UsNow, screening the trailer or just looping the film

Don T is confirmed – but there may be some conflict with his travel schedule

About 30 minutes to go over the partners – TuCows, Little Geeks

Make it a party and not as much of a talk

Is there anything interactive we want to do? (Something with the posters on the wall – colouring contest – something interactive while they're there)

Also have a roaming flip camera and camera

See if there's some kind of U-stream with another party or a multi way Skype with other parties around the world – like a portal

Bring posters. Markers, crayons to the party – connecting the dots to doodle

Have the photographer take photos of people beside their poster

Make it an internet-based event

Creating a photo page where people could upload their photo and put it up on a projector with their own option of background

Cafe Taste is free, but there is a $500 minimum on the bar

Mozilla will put in $250 for food

TuCows to put in $500 for food at the event

We have to use Cafe Taste food and drink to get the space for free

Celina to reach out to CityTV/TVO to cover the party

Sue to contact CBC

Invitation to be sent to Mayor Miller (Mark to DM)

There will be a press release from the LG's office that will include OWD (TuCows, Little Geeks)

Chelsea to follow up with Nathan about a OWD global news release

Other Events

TuCows event from 1 to 5 p.m., an in-house celebration event

Have also rented a truck to do an old computer drop off at their building – those computers will be taken to reboot and little geeks

If people want to bring computers to the event in the evening, TuCows can pick up stuff from the event

Prefer cash donations – Little Geeks has online donations available
